ARREST/FIRE REPORT-APRIL 22, 2024

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Brad Garrard Lesmeister, 51, of Ada, for fourth-degree traffic DUI.

Todd Richard Kroening, 57, of Fosston, for failure to appear in court.

Charlee Joseph Fugleberg, 23, of Fargo, for first-degree drug possession, possessing 25 grams or more of cocaine, heroin, or meth.

Karl Vernell LeClair, 42, no address listed, for fourth-degree DUI.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

At 2:28 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that cooking had caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

At 3:15 p.m., the CFD responded to Gentilly Township for a report of a small grassfire. Upon arrival, it was found that the fire had spread from a fire pit. The CFD was able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD talked to the homeowner and then cleared the scene.

At 3:15 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of 130th St SW and 240th Ave SW in Belgium Township for a report of a large grassfire. Upon arrival, it was found that a permitted burn had lost control. The CFD was assisted by other local responding agencies and was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.
