ARREST/FIRE REPORT-DECEMBER 16, 2022

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the following arrests.

Abednego Benedict Thomas Jr., 22, of Fargo, for Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle

Jason Russell Johnson, 35, of Crookston, for 5th-Degree Drug Possession by False Title/Representation as Authorized.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 12/15/2022 –

At 3:08 p.m., the CFD responded to the 400 block of E Robert St for a report of an injured bird trapped in a fence. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to get the bird unstuck from the fence and relocated the bird to a more habitable area. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 5:54 p.m., the CFD responded to the 800 block of N Main St for a report of a cord stuck in a snowblower. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to get the cord out of the snowblower and found it was a cable TV line. The CFD then talked to the homeowner where the cable came from and cleared the scene.

At 8:56 p.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of S Minnesota St for a flow alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that an air damper control unit had caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present. The CFD isolated the sprinkler system, turned over control to maintenance, and cleared the scene.
