ARREST/FIRE REPORT – May 15, 2023

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following-

Dale William Sorenson, 39 of Crookston, for giving a peace officer a false name /birthdate, or ID. 

Tracey Renee Halley, 43 of Crookston, for third-degree drug possession of a schedule 1 or 2 narcotic, LSD, MDA, or MDMA in a school, park, or public housing zone.

Justin Allen Abrahamson, 45 of Crookston, for third-degree drug possession of a schedule 1 or 2 narcotic, LSD, MDA, or MDMA in a school, park, or public housing zone.

Julie Ann Miller, 51 of Crookston, for contempt of court, willful disobedience.

Maria Luisa Hernandez, 33 of Crookston, for third-degree assault with a past pattern of child abuse

Desmond Tonyan White, 28 no address provided, for third-degree assault with a past pattern of child abuse

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

5/12/2023

At 8:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a general fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and no danger was found. The CFD reset the alarm, contacted staff, and cleared the scene.

5/13/2023

At 12:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of a general fire alarm. Upon arrival, there was no danger present. The CFD contacted Johnson Controls to review the alarm system and turned over control to staff. The CFD then cleared the scene.

5/14/2023

At 9:16 a.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a dirty detector. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm, turned over control to staff, and cleared the scene.

At 9:41 a.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of S Broadway for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a dirty detector, and there was no danger present. The alarm system was reset before the CFD arrived on the scene. The CFD ensured the system was reset properly, the CFD also reset the elevator and then cleared the scene.

At 4:00 p.m., the CFD responded to Section 22 of Fairfax Township for a report of a grass fire. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe and no other danger was present, the CFD cleared the scene.

At 10:14 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1200 block of US Hwy 75 S for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD was met by staff, and it was found that the alarm was set off because of low air tripping off a water flow alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD turned over control to the staff and cleared the scene.
