The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following-
Nicholas Paul Lenertz, 54 of Crookston, for failure to appear, charged with gross misdemeanor.
Aurelio Benavidez Carrizales, 24 of East Grand Forks, for obstructing the legal process.
Hilda Barbara Lundmark, 43 no address provided, for second degree drug sale of meth in a school, park, or public housing zone.
Justin Patrick Angel Uribe, 42 of East Grand Forks, for disorderly conduct.
Patricia Ann Bren, 41 of Oklee, for tresspassing on premises of another and rfusal to depart.
Anthony Charles Jaeger, 52 of Plummer, for third-degree DUI, driving while impaired with one aggravating factor.
Drew Marvin Smith, 34 of Walstad, Minnesota, for fifth-degree assault, gross misdemeanor.
Joseph Kellum, 24 of Waubun, for domestic assault, misdemeanor to commit act to cause fear of immediate bodily harm or death.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
5/26/2023
At 11:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 1200 block of Sunflower St. for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated the panels and no issues were found. It was deemed to be a false alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD cleared the scene.
At 8:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated checking multiple buildings, and no danger was found. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
5/27/2023
At 1:00 p.m., the CFD responded to a small grass fire along US Hwy 2, one mile East of Crookston. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe and no other danger was present, the CFD cleared the scene.
At 3:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and no danger was found. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
At 8:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 6th St. overpass for a report of a small fire along the train tracks. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. There was no other danger present. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD then cleared the scene.
At 8:30 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of North Acres Estates for a report of a campfire that had spread to some nearby brush. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire before it could spread to any structures. There was no damage to report. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.
