Arrest/Fire Report – Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Fire Calls

At 8:20 Monday evening, the Crookston Police Department informed the Crookston Fire Department that there was smoke coming from a burning barrel on the 500 block of Marin Avenue. Firefighters investigated, extinguished the embers, then contacted the owner about city ordinances forbidding that type of burning activity.

Just after 1:00 Tuesday morning, they responded to a report of a vehicle fire along Highway 2 in Section 36 of Gentilly Township. On arrival they found that the driver had extinguished the fire. They cooled the engine compartment with water, then turned the incident over to the State Patrol officer on scene.
