ARREST/FIRE REPORT-OCTOBER 19, 2022

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests. 

Isaiah Michael Troy, 18, of Bemidji, for 3rd-Degree Drug Possession of 10 or more grams of Narcotics

Ethan Don Edward Yarbro, 23, of Crookston, for Domestic Assault

Frank Malone Williams Jr., 44, of Crookston, for Terroristic Threats

Michael John Connor, 34, of Trail, for 4th-Degree DUI.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 10/18/2022 –

At 4:30 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of W 6th St. and Birch St. for a report of a two-vehicle accident. The CFD assisted the Crookston Police Department with traffic control and roadway cleanup. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 8:08 p.m., the CFD responded to the North Acres Estates for a smell of gas. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated found there was a smell of gas near a newly installed propane tank. The CFD could not find the cause of the smell. The CFD had the tenant call the natural gas company to investigate further. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 8:39 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for an elevator alarm activation. Upon arrival, there was no danger present. The CFD turned over control to maintenance to investigate further, as this was the second false alarm activation in a week for this elevator. The CFD then cleared the scene. 

At 8:52 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1100 block of Barrette St to provide access to the building for local EMS for a lift assist. The CFD provided the access to the building and cleared the scene.
