ARREST/FIRE REPORT-SEPTEMBER 25

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Lonny Leroy Burrack, 73, of Trail, for traffic DUI.

Kevin Ira Dora, 44, of Fargo, for fifth-degree possession of false title/representation as authorized from a prior conviction.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

9/22/2023

At 4:26 p.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of Walsh St. for a report of a general fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that a dryer with clothes that were too wet was smoking, which caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

9/23/2023

At 10:54 a.m., the CFD responded to the 800 block of Eickhoff Blvd for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that there was an accidental activation of the alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

At 2:56 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1300 block of Fairfax Ave for a report of a Carbon Monoxide detector sounding. Upon arrival, the CFD used gas monitoring tools, and there was Carbon Monoxide present. The CFD ventilated the area, and once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.

At 6:48 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of North Acres Estates for a report of a smoke smell outside a residence. The CFD investigated and determined that neighbors were having a barbecue. There was no danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 10:37 a.m., the CFD responded to the 800 block of Eickhoff Blvd for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that there was an accidental activation of the alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
