Our Savior’s Lutheran School is joining thousands of schools across the country as they celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week January 25-29. Activities throughout the week focus on the theme “Sent to Serve” as the students discovered more ways that they can serve in our world, country, community, and neighborhoods.
The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 1,123 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 212 probable cases from antigen testing, and 16 deaths. The confirmed cases were found in 42,564 completed tests for a positive rate of 2.6 percent. Crookston High School is hosting Zoom Call with parents about the return to having school every day at 4:30 p.m. today. The 7th-9th grades will return on Feb. 1. They don’t only play hockey in Warroad, as the Warrior Boys Basketball team stayed undefeated by using two big first-half runs to beat the Crookston Pirates 70-36 in a Section 8AA game played in Warroad. Although the Crookston Pirate Girls Hockey team dominated most of the game, it took a Jenna Seaver wrist shot from the point with 2:30 left in the game to break a 2-2 deadlock and give the Pirates an exciting 3-2 win over the West Fargo United in a game played at the Crookston Sports Center.
