Shirley Hamre, long-time resident of Beltrami and Fertile, MN, and also Mesa, AZ, passed away on February 22, 2024, at Greenleaf Assisted Living in Thief River Falls, MN. The Crookston Fourth-grade Girls basketball team finished third place at the Thief River Falls tournament on Saturday. Crookston beat the Northern Freeze 19-18 in overtime, lost to Bemidji 20-8, and beat Thief River Falls 27-17. Crookston is now 12-2 on the year.
