Staci Wills was recently honored for her commitment to the Benedictine Mission and Core Values with the presentation of the 2024 Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy award.
For nearly 20 years, Sister Claudia Riehl, OSB, dedicated endless energy and countless hours of time, as well as her valuable knowledge and expertise, to further the Benedictine Mission and Core Values. In 2011, the Sister Claudia Riehl Living a Legacy recognition program was launched to recognize those associates who model her commitment.
Staci, CNA and Activity Assistant, is a 17-year associate at Benedictine. “My Grandma Elaine Paulley was a Nurse Aide and inspired me.” States Staci, “I helped her take care of Great Grandma Elsie and discovered the joy of helping others. I love working at the Villa and all our residents. When I am not at work, I enjoy hanging out with my boyfriend, our cats and dog, and dog sitting for friends. One passion I do have is advocating for suicide prevention. I lost a dear friend to it and want everyone to know there is help for depression and suicidal thoughts. Life is precious.”
Executive Director Lindsey Erdman said, “Staci is just one of those standouts. She is always on the go, and her energy, smiles, and cheerful, positive nature fill a room. Her good nature brings joy to many. I wouldn’t be surprised if she considers all her residents her very best friends. Staci’s love for others seems boundless.”
Vicky Peck, LPN, MDS Coordinator, added, “Staci’s just so special. Her flexibility to go anywhere she is needed without hesitation and with her typical big smile is so exceptional. Her leadership skills and the fact she gives more than 100% at any given moment made me proud to nominate Staci as our deserving recipient this year.”
