BLIZZARD WARNING ISSUED FOR CROOKSTON AND KROX LISTENING AREA

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, North Dakota has issued a Blizzard Warning for Crookston and the KROX listening area from 2:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
The warning includes the cities of Crookston, East Grand Forks, Ada, Twin Valley, Halstad, Lakota, Mcville, Aneta, Tolna, Grand Forks, Cooperstown, Finley, Hope, Mayville, Hillsboro, Hatton, and Portland.

* WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of around one inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota.

* WHEN…From 2 AM to 9 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. The dangerous wind chills will last beyond the blowing snow into Thursday morning.
