BLIZZARD WARNING ISSUED FOR TONIGHT THROUGH NOON ON THURSDAY

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for Crookston and portions of the KROX listening area, including West Polk, Norman, Clay, Eddy, Nelson, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele, Traill, Barnes, and Cass counties.  Including the cities of Crookston, East Grand Forks, Ada, Twin Valley, Halstad, and Moorhead of Minnesota and Grand Forks, Cooperstown, Mayville, Finley, Hillsboro, and Fargo.

The blizzard warning is in effect from 6:00 PM tonight to Noon on Thursday.
Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility and dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
A blizzard warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected.  Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibility are likely.  This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel extremely dangerous.  Do not travel.  If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you.  If you get stranded, stay in your vehicle.
Keep your radio tuned to KROX or keep checking our website for storm-related information, including any cancellations or postponements.
