BOLL AND AAMOTH COMPETE IN SECTION 8A GIRLS SWIMMING MEET

The Fosston/Bagley/Crookston Seals swim team finished sixth out of seven teams at the Section 8A Girls Swimming, and Diving meet on Saturday with 143 points.  Park Rapids easily won the meet with 561 points, over 200 more than runner-up Fergus Falls. 

Crookston had two girls competing in the finals on Saturday, Chloe Boll and Mackenzie Aamoth. 

Boll, a freshman, finished fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.65, which was half a second better than her prelim time on Friday evening. 
Boll also finished fourth place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 58.42 which was about eight-tenths of a second faster than her prelim time.
Chloe was also on the 200-Yard Freestyle replay that finished fifth place.  Boll was the final leg of the relay, and she edged the Perham swimmer by one-hundredth of a second to finish fifth.

Mackenzie Aamoth, a senior, finished her Pirate swimming career with a ninth-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.65, which was three-quarters of a second better than her prelim race.
Aamoth was on the seventh place 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:37.84. fd

Boll and Aamoth made up half the Seal’s 200-Yard Medley relay team and finished sixth place with a time of 2:12.05.

Head Coach of the Year – Todd Fritz of Park Rapids
Assistant Coach of the Year – Baylee Gartner of Park Rapids
Diving Coach of the Year – Amanda Fischer of Perham
Swimmer of the Year – Faith Hamm of Detroit Lakes
Diver of the Year – Britney Lorentz of Perham
