The 18th annual Sugar Beat Museum Harvest will occur on Sunday, September 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event started in 2004 and has run every year since 2020, which was canceled due to the pandemic. Those in attendance can expect to see demonstrations of vintage equipment harvesting sugar beats and additional events.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, for the following counties in northwest Minnesota. Beltrami, Clay, Clearwater, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, and Roseau. A watch means conditions are right for the development of severe thunderstorms.
