The Minnesota AFL-CIO General Board voted to extend the Minnesota AFL-CIO Committee on Political Education (COPE) endorsement to Christopherson’s election to Minnesota House District 1B.
The Minnesota AFL-CIO General Board accepted the recommendation from the West Area Labor Council, which evaluated Christopherson’s record and positions on issues of importance to working people and their families. The Board said its recommendation is based on the belief that Christopherson is the candidate who will continue to stand up for the interests of working families in his campaign and after election.
“Minnesota trade unionists place their trust and confidence in Mike Christopherson. Minnesota AFL-CIO-affiliated unions, their leaders, and union members will be notified that he deserves support and that they can count on Mike Christopherson to ensure that the State Legislature is on the side of working families and middle-class Minnesotans,” said President Bernie Burnham.
