CITY COUNCIL LOOKING AT NOT ALLOWING CANNABIS SALE, GROWING AND MORE

Crookston City Council

The Crookston City Council will meet Monday at 5:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The consent agenda will include the bills and disbursements in the amount of $1,068,263.75. The consent agenda includes several items for Ox Cart Days with a resolution to approve fireworks within the city limits, dance permits for Ox Cart Days, a permit to allow the Irishman’s Shanty and Drafts Sports Bar and Grill to dispense liquor at the festival.
The consent agenda will also include a resolution regarding 2023 license renewals for Gas Fitting and Cement Mason, the Council Committee composition for 2023 and appointing designated individuals to boards or commissions.

The regular agenda will include a resolution regarding the request proposals summary for the Capital Improvement Plan. It will also include the resolution regarding authorization and confirmation of the sale of Real Property by the City of Crookston to David and Gloria Kildahl.

The agenda also includes the resolution regarding the purchase of the Short Post Snow Wing for the Public Works Department, a resolution regarding the purchase of protective sheeting related to stormwater gates, the approval of the new Public Works Director, include the second and final reading of an Interim Ordinance prohibiting the sale, testing, manufacture, cultivating, growing, transporting, delivery, and distribution of cannabis products in the City of Crookston.

The Crookston Ways and Means Committee will meet after the council meeting and have two items on the agenda. They will discuss the Fire/Emergency Department budget and the Park and Rec Budget.
