The Crookston City Council will meet Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The mayor will make a proclamation declaring the – Ox Cart Days 30th Anniversary – August 12-18. The consent agenda. The consent agenda includes approving the July 8 meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements in the amount of $237,254.35, accepting a donation from Iris Eisert in memory of Lyle Eisert, the authorization and direction for transfer of funds, approve authorized grant to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Dance Permit for Ox Cart Days for Downtown Horn, Laid Back Luau, and the Johnny Holm Band.
There will be two public hearings. The first is to consider amending the franchise agreement with Otter Tail Power Company, the second to consider amending the franchise agreement with Red Lake Electric Cooperative. The regular agenda has one item, the second reading and final passage of an ordinance amending City Code Chapter 152 entitled “Zoning” by adding a Gateway Overlay District.
The Ways & Means Committee will meet immediately following the City Council meeting. The agenda includes the minutes from the June 24, and July 8 meetings, a building permit waiver for the Construction Trades Home that Crookston High School will build on Hoven Lane, a discussion on the property at 110 Lincoln, and a review of the cost for video production for City Council meetings.
