CLIMAX-FISHER VOLLEYBALL SERVES THEIR WAY PAST CLEARBROOK-GONVICK

The Climax-Fisher Knight Volleyball team served up 13 aces in the match on their way to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-19) victory over the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears in a match played in Fisher. 

FIRST SET
Climax-Fisher came out with extremely strong serving, taking a 4-0 lead to start the match behind three service aces from Sophia Nesvig. Climax-Fisher continued to build on the lead with kills from Halle Reitmeier and Peyton Hoffman. Clearbrook-Gonvick settled down and tied the set at 6-6. The Knights continued their stellar serving as Ava Larson had three straight aces after a Cambree Solheim kill for a 10-6 lead. Clearbrook-Gonvick got within an 11-9 score before Climax-Fisher dominated the rest of the set, going on a 14-6 run, sparked by two more Nesvig aces as the Knights coasted for a 25-15 win.

SECOND SET
Climax-Fisher started the set on a 4-1 run with a block, Hoffman kill, and a Nesvig ace. The teams played even for a while, with Climax-Fisher leading 14-12 before the Knights ended the set on an 11-4 run behind four Hoffman kills and an ace, Reitmeier, Lucy Paulsrud, and Solheim added kills on the way to a 25-16 victory.

THIRD SET
The set was tied at 1, 2, and 3 before Clearbrook-Gonvick had three straight errors, and Climax-Fisher had a 6-3 lead. The Knights led 11-7 when Lucy Paulsrud and Hoffman had kills, and after a couple of Clearbrook-Gonvick points, Lucy and Hoffman added another kill apiece for a 16-8 lead. Leading 16-9, Hoffman had back-to-back kills to spark another run for a 20-10 lead. Climax-Fisher ended the match strong with two kills from Lucy Paulsrud and a kill from Solheim before the match ended on a Hoffman kill for a 25-19 victory.

Climax-Fisher improves to 8-5 on the year. Clearbrook-Gonvick falls to 4-3 on the season.
