Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach recently visited Crookston while she was touring the Seventh Congressional District. While there, she toured RiverView Health, where she saw the renovations they have been working on to continue to provide healthcare to the rural parts of the district. RiverView Health is a Critical Access Hospital and provides vital resources to the area. The congresswoman is a strong advocate for maintaining and providing quality healthcare, especially in the rural areas of our country.
Many rural healthcare facilities are struggling to maintain their operating costs. To address these unsustainable pressures, Congresswoman Fischbach is closely monitoring the implementation of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and advocating for the approval of the state’s Directed Payment Program (DPP). These initiatives are essential to ensuring hospitals receive fair federal matching funds and can keep their doors open to provide families with the care they deserve.
