The Crookston 10U Girls hockey took second place in the 10U B District 16 hockey tournament this past weekend in Thief River Falls.
The girls played a lot of good hockey throughout the year and improved each day, and earned themselves the number 2 seed in the district. As the number 2 seed, their first game was Saturday morning against Bemidji White which they had lost to earlier in the year. Crookston won with a score of 2-1 behind some great hockey and even better goaltending. With the win, their next game was Sunday morning in the championship game. The girls played another good game but came up short in the championship game with a loss to Bemidji Blue 5-3.
Members of the team are – Isabelle Helgeson, Sydnie Nobles, Calianna Donarski, Harper Hann, Lauren Tull, Charlee Coauette, Ruby Martin, Teagan Brault, Leah Biermaier, Evelyn Gasper, and Mercedes Bower.
The team is coached by Matt Hann and Eric Biermaier
