The Crookston Youth Basketball Association (CYBA) 3rd grade girls basketball team competed in the Cougar Classic Basketball Tournament in Ada on Saturday, February 10, and took home the championship.
Crookston beat Moorhead 8-6 in the first round. In the semi-finals, Crookston beat Warren-Alvarado-Oslo 11-10, and in the championship, Crookston beat Casselton (ND) 14-12.
Members of the team are Penelope Smith, Avery Matter, Valerie Trevino, Lily Griffin, Freya Brekken, Valor Klinnert, and Annie Kollin. The team is coached by Erik and Kristi Griffin.
