The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Crookston and the area through 6:00 a.m. on Monday. The advisory includes the cities of East Grand Forks, Red Lake Falls, Mayville, Hillsboro, Hatton, and Portland.
* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.
* WHERE…Polk, Red Lake, North Clearwater, and South Beltrami Counties.
* WHEN…Until 6 AM CST Monday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
