CROOKSTON CHAMBER, CVB, DCDP, AND CITY OF CROOKSTON TEAM UP TO REVITALIZE PLANTERS

In a significant move towards fostering unity and collaboration, key players in the Crookston community have come together as the Crookston Beautification Committee, made up of the Crookston Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Crookston Development Partnership, and Crookston Visitors Bureau, to rehabilitate the downtown planters, and Walmart has sponsored the paint and supplies to launch a planter revitalization project.

This initiative marks a new chapter in the relationship between the four entities. “This joint project is another example of teamwork creating pride in our community which is visible to everyone,” said Corky Reynolds, Crookston City Administrator.

The project, which started the week of June 5, aims to beautify the city’s public spaces and promote a sense of community pride. It will involve the revitalization of planters throughout the city, transforming them into vibrant displays of local flora. “We are happy to be part of this collaborative effort,” said Janelle Wald, Crookston Chamber President. “This project is not just about enhancing the city’s aesthetics. It’s about relationships and fostering a spirit of cooperation for the betterment of our community. We are committed to working together with all stakeholders for the success of this project. It’s a step towards a more unified and prosperous Crookston.”

The Downtown Crookston Development Partnership and Crookston Visitors Bureau, a key player in the city’s growth and development, also expressed enthusiasm for the project. “This is an opportunity to show that when we work together, we can achieve great things for our community,” said Jess Bengtson, who is a member of the CVB and DCDP.

The planter revitalization project is a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared vision of a more vibrant and unified Crookston. It is a significant step towards the beautification of the community.
