The Crookston Ways and Means Committee (Crookston City Council and Department Heads) will have a closed meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Crookston Campus’ Minnesota Room. The topic of discussion is LELS labor negotiations.
At 6:30 p.m. the Crookston City Council will meet in the lower level of the Sargeant Student Center to go on a tour of the new Center for Collaborative Research Lab at the Sahlstrom Conference Center.
At 7:00 p.m. the Crookston City Council will meet in Bede Ballroom.
Items on the consent agenda includes the approval of bills and disbursements in the amount of $246,420.15, a resolution to approve Section 3 policy for a Small Cities Development grant, the preliminary levy for 2019, to waive Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority permit fees on the construction trades home, the approval of pay estimate #3 to O’Day Equipment LLC, approve water and wastewater economic development rates and the acceptance of a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources grant for Crookston Fire Department turn out gear.
The regular agenda includes the second reading and final passage of an ordinance establishing the office of Finance Director and combining Finance Director and City Clerk, a resolution to approve change order #1 for the Crookston Airport fuel project, and a resolution to continue with the CHEDA board recommendation authorizing staff to complete Tax Increment Financing development agreement process.
The Crookston Ways and Means committee will meet again after the City Council meeting.
The meeting agenda includes the acceptance of the 2017 audit report. Another agenda item is the sale of the parcel of land between the Fournet and Mason’s building, a Small Business Development Center update from Christine Anderson, and an update on the City of Crookston website.
