CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET ON MONDAY TO APPOINT “CORKY” REYNOLDS AS NEW CITY ADMINISTRATOR

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, September 26, at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.

The meeting will begin with a presentation by Blake Carlson from Widseth Smith Nolting about a Water Modeling addition to the Crookston Sports Center.

The Consent Agenda will include the approval of the City Council minutes from their meeting on September 12 and their Special meeting on September 19 and to approve the City of Crookston Bills and Disbursements in the amount of $236,999.01. The final item on the Consent Agenda will be to approve a $25 donation from Brost Chevrolet for Crookston Park and Recreations Youth Sports.

The Council will then hold a Public Hearing with respect to amending an ordinance of City Code Chapter 111 entitled “Alcoholic Beverages.”

The Regular Agenda will include amending an ordinance of the City Code Chapter 117 entitled “Peddlers and Solicitors” and an Emergency Ordinance for temporarily regulating the Sale of Edible Cannabinoid Products in the city of Crookston. It will also include a resolution ordering the repair of a Hazardous Building located at 416 Broadway Street North. The Regular Agenda will also include accepting the resignation of Charles “Corky” Reynolds as the City Attorney and the designation of Tanner Holten as the City Attorney for the City of Crookston. It will then include a resolution approving the appointment and employment agreement of Charles “Corky” Reynolds as the City Administrator for Crookston. The final items on the Regular Agenda will be a resolution to adopt a Clean-Up Policy and to discuss and establish the city’s preliminary tax levy.

The next City Council meeting will take place on Monday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.
