CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL & WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Crookston City Council Chambers at City Hall.  

The consent agenda includes the approval of proposed Council Minutes of Regular Council Meeting June 25; a resolution to approve bills and disbursements in the amount of $292,795.47; a resolution receiving the report and calling the hearing on improvement on 5th Avenue South Street construction; a resolution appointing election judges for the 2018 Primary and General elections; a resolution to appoint council members to the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau; a resolution calling for a public hearing to consider amending the current franchise agreement with Ottertail Electric Company, Red Lake Electric Cooperative, and Great Plains Natural Gas company; a resolution calling for a public hearing to consider a new additional economic development rate to the City of Crookston water and wastewater rates; a resolution calling for a public hearing to consider a business subsidy policy; and a resolution adopting special assessment waiver policy.
The regular agenda includes the second reading and final passage of the ordinance amending City Code Chapter 11, Entitled “Land Use Regulations” (Zoning) by Changing the Zoning Map.
The meeting will wrap up with reports and staff recommendation.


CROOKSTON WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET MONDAY NIGHT

The Crookston Ways and Means Committee will meet right after the City Council meeting in the council chambers on Monday evening.  

The agenda includes the approval of the June 18 and 25 meeting reports; a certificate of support for RiverView Health in their application for a loan from USDA Rural Development.  The application for the loan is to provide funds of approximately $33 million to construct 70,000 square foot facility for the hospital inpatient beds and outpatient clinics with construction to be on the Crookston campus, attached to the portion of the building that was constructed in 2001;
the Central Park campground grant application, which includes an application for $1,382,000 with a cost of 25 percent to the city at $345,500; a Crookston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Audit payment; and a Crookston City code of conduct.
