The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, January 22, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers.
The meeting will start with two presentations regarding the rapid assessment of the city’s Finance Department and the Minnesota Rail Service Improvement (MRSI) at the Industrial Park. Following the presentations, there will be a proclamation regarding the Winter Walk to School Day, which will take place on Wednesday, February 7.
The agenda will include the resolution regarding the preparation of the preliminary engineer’s report for the 2024 city street improvements. It will also include the resolution regarding the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Climate, and Pollution reduction grant, the resolution to receive and approve plans regarding a pre-constructed modular bathhouse located in the Crookston Central Park campground, the resolution regarding the Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) recommendation of loan approval from the request of CRK Coffee doing business as Scooter’s Coffee. The final two items on the agenda will be discussions regarding support for the Minnesota Rail Service Improvement Program, and updating the current alcohol ordinance for the city.
The consent agenda will include the approval of minutes from the January 8, council meeting and the approval of bills and disbursements in the amount of $860,269.97. It will also include the resolution regarding payment for the 2023 street improvement rebid, the resolution regarding approving the Manufactured Home Park Evacuation Plan, and the resolution authorizing a grant contract agreement for the Violent Crime Enforcement Teams (VCET) for the years 2024-25. The final item will be the approval of the license renewal for Gas Fitters and Cement Mason for 2024.
