The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.
The meeting will begin with a presentation on the Coalition of Greater MN Cities by Marty Seifert.
The Consent Agenda will include the approval of the City Council minutes from their meeting on October 10 and the approval of the City of Crookston Bills and Disbursements in the amount of $487,700.38. It will also include rescheduling the Crookston Housing & Economic Development Authority’s (CHEDA) Agenda for their meetings from October 24 to Thursday, October 27. The other items on the agenda will be to declare the costs to be assessed and order the preparation of proposed assessments for projects 984-988, a donation of $50 from Mercy Peterson for the Crookston Fire Department Smoke Detectors, and to call for a public hearing on amending an ordinance from the City Code Chapter 117 entitled “Peddlers and Solicitors.”
The Regular Agenda will include a resolution to approve entering a contract for the Crookston Public Library Building repairs and accept a Gift of Real Property, and Dedicating Real Property Permanently as a Public Park. It will also include approving a resolution providing grants to non-profit organizations for the 2023 Calendar year. It will also include a resolution calling for public hearings on proposed assessments on projects 984-988. The final item on the agenda will consist of calling a public hearing on proposed assessments for unpaid water and sewer charges and for current services.
The Ways and Means Committee will then meet after the meeting to hold a discussion about the local Campground.
The next City Council meeting will take place on Monday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.
