CROOKSTON GIRLS GOLF DOMINATES THE NORTH FORE MEET WITH 5 GOLFERS IN TOP 10

The Crookston Pirate Girls’ Golf team had five golfers in the top ten today to win the North Fore Conference Meet playing nine holes in Fertile and nine holes at the Erskine Course.  The Pirates junior, Georgia Sanders was the medalist of the meet with a 91. The other Pirates in the top ten were Morgan Nelson with a 92, Hallie Nicholas shot a 93, Ava Martin carded a 96 and Addie Fee had a 97. Crookston, East Grand Forks, Thief River Falls and Roseau are the four member schools of the conference.  “We struggled a bit to start off at Fertile,” said Crookston head coach, Jeff Perreault, “but we did play better in Erskine. I would say we have not played out best golf, so we are looking forward to work on improving our game this week in a practice session and round at King’s Walk in Grand Forks on Thursday.” The Section 8AA Girl’s & Boy’s Golf Tournaments will be Monday and Tuesday, June 3 & 4 at the Bemidji Town and Country Club course.

Crookston also had five players named to the North Fore All Conference team.

Roseau had three named, Samantha Peterson, Maryn Byfuglien & Addyson Johnson. EGF had two, Kayla Thompson & Jillian Frost.
