Crookston Girls Golf finishes 2nd in the Crookston Invite

The Crookston Pirate Girls Golf team shot a 357 and finished second place, one stroke behind the Roseau Rams in the Crookston Invitational at Minakwa Golf Course in Crookston.
Crookston was led by Ava Martin with an 83, three strokes off medalist honors. East Grand Forks’ Paige Lindgren was the medalist with an 80.

CROOKSTON –
Ava Martin, a senior, shot an 83 to finish in 2nd place. Ava carded two birdies, seven pars, seven bogies, and two double bogies.
Emelia Hoerner, a senior, shot a 90 to finish in 6th place. She had six pars, nine bogies, two double bogies, and one triple bogey.
Halle Nicholas, a senior, shot a 90 to finish in 6th place. She recorded two birdies, four pars, seven bogies, four double bogies, and one triple bogey.
Makenna Peterson, a freshman, shot a 94 to finish in 9th place. She had two pars, 13 bogies, two double bogies, and one triple bogey.
Elsie Mathews, an eighth grader, shot a 104 for 17th place. She carded two pars, nine bogies, three double bogies, two triple bogies, one quadruple bogey, and one five-over-par hole.
Taylor Wieland, a senior, shot a 106 to finish 20th. She recorded six bogies, 10 double bogies, and two triple bogies.
Anna Heldstab, a Freshman, shot a 116 and finished in 26th place. She had two pars, three bogies, three double bogies, eight triple bogies, one quadruple bogey, and one five over par hole.
Lillian Bridgeford, a sophomore, shot a 116 and finished in 26th place. She turned in three pars, five bogies, two double bogies, two triple bogies, four quadruple bogies, one five over and one six over par hole.
