Crookston Girls Golf wins the Roseau Ram Invite

The Crookston Pirate Girls Golf team shot a 349 and won the Roseau Ram Invitational at Oak Creek Golf Course in Roseau. Crookston beat Roseau by 12 strokes, and eight teams competed. Crookston’s Ava Martin was the medalist with an 81, four strokes better than the runner-up. Crookston had four of the top eight individual scores.

CROOKSTON –
Ava Martin, a junior, shot an 81. She carded one birdie, eight pars, seven bogies, and two double bogies to finish first place.
Addie Fee, a senior, shot an 88. She recorded one birdie, six pars, six bogies, four double bogies, and one quadruple bogey to finish seventh place.
Kaylie Clauson, a senior, shot 90. She turned in one birdie, four pars, six bogies, and seven double bogies to finish tied for eighth place.
Georgia Sanders, a senior, shot a 90. She recorded five pars, nine bogies, three double bogies, and one quadruple bogey to finish tied for eighth place.
Emelia Hoerner, a junior, shot a 94. She recorded three pars, seven bogies, and eight double bogies to finish 12th place.
Halle Nicholas, a junior, shot a 104. She turned in two pars, six bogies, seven double bogies, two quadruple bogies and one hole with a five over par to finish 30th place.
There were 48 golfers competing.

Crookston will head to the Thief River Falls Inviational on Wednesday.
