CROOKSTON GIRLS TENNIS BEATS PARK RAPIDS AND ROSEAU ON PARENTS/SENIOR DAY

The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team is wrapping up the regular season as they host two Section 8A teams as they host the Park Rapids Panthers and the Roseau Rams at the Crookston High School tennis courts.

CROOKSTON VS PARK RAPIDS
Crookston used a bit of a different lineup in the first match of the day by moving the usual first singles player, Halle Winjum to first doubles and the minor tweaks didn’t phase the team.
Crookston took an early 2-0 lead in the match with a second singles win from Abby Borowicz who won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.  The third doubles team also made quick work of their opponent as Morgan Nelson and Addie Fee won 6-2, 6-4.
Crookston swept the doubles matches with first doubles of Halle Winjum and Emma Gunderson winning 6-2, 6-2, and Halle Bruggeman and Kaylie Clauson cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory for a 4-0 lead.
The final win came at fourth singles with Paige Abrahamson winning again with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.  Crookston lost two competitive matches at first and third singles.
