Crookston High School held a send-off for members of the FFA Chapter and two members of the High School Speech Team.
The two-state participants for the speech are Shayla Azure and Zac Plante, coached by Brandon Neibauer-Adams. The Minnesota State Speech Competition will take place on April 19-20 at Shakopee High School.
The FFA chapter included all of their state-bound teams and individuals who qualified for their state conventions. The FFA students that will head to state are Ben Capistran, Austin Thode, Dylan Thode, Ethan Boe, Theodore Maygra, Evin Trudeau, Mathew Owens, Conner Hanson, Bandon Wandrie, Michael Bochow, Brandon Colborn, Wyatt Marsyla, Makoti Weber, Ryker Arnold, Peter Weirsma, Cade Wisk, Rylee Anderson, Jocelyn Johnson, Mykayla Garcia, Isabel Pahlen, Avery Mathews, Allysen Wagner, Sylvia Christensen, Emilee Smith, Jocelyn Wallace, Emily Bowman, Ezra Portillo, Priscilla Gonzalez, Lillianna Bridgeford, Nevayahlee Bruce, Leia Parkin, Rilynn Aubol, Addisyn Schiller, Lana Peterson, Tessa Weber, Leah Johanneck, Taylor Wieland, Kaitlyn Christensen, Hope Alexander, Grace Alexander, Meliyah Moore, and Hailey McEndree, coached by Carolyn Pavlish. The Minnesota State FFA competition will take place April 21-23 at the University of Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
