CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL WILL BEGIN SNOWFEST WEEK ON MONDAY, JANUARY 22

Crookston High School will begin Snowfest week on Monday, January 22. Each day of the week will present a different theme, and this year, the CHS Student Council has chosen some creative themes and activities to participate in.

CHS students will kick off themes with Monday being “Adam Sandler” day. “This is also an interesting theme for me,” said Leo Club Advisor Linda Morgan, “I heard it’s baggy pants and baggy shirts. That’s how everybody will be encouraged to dress up, so it should be fun.”

Another new theme during the week will be on Tuesday, called “Generation Day” where 6-8th graders will dress up as babies, 9th grade will dress up as toddlers, 10th grade will dress as college students, 11th grade will dress up as adults, and 12th graders will dress up as senior citizens.

The Snowfest dance will take place on Saturday, January 27, in the CHS commons area and will start at 9:00 p.m. The cost is $5 per student. “We will use our own music (like before),” said Morgan, “This will also serve as a fundraiser for our student council, and we’re charging $5 to get in just for a couple of hours of fun, and kids can dance and hang out with each other, we’ll have goodies here, and it should be fun.”

Snowfest will also crown royalty during the pep fest on Thursday, January 25. The pep fest will begin at 2:25 p.m. in the gymnasium. The candidates are yet to be finalized.

The Snowfest Week Schedule is shown below-

Monday, January 22- Adam Sandler Day

Tuesday, January 23- Generation Day

Wednesday, January 24- Wear Pink Day

Thursday, January 25- Pirate Pride Day and Pep Fest starting at 2:25 p.m. (Gymnasium)

Friday, January 26- Disney Day, students can dress up as their favorite Disney character.

Saturday, January 27- Snowfest Dance (Grades 9-12) will be from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the CHS Commons.
