Crookston High School junior Blaine Asman auditioned and was selected as Tenor II for the 2019-2020 Minnesota Music Educator’s Association All-State Men’s Chorus. This weekend he will be performing again at the Minnesota Music Educator Association’s midwinter conference in Minneapolis. The February All-State Choir concert takes place on Saturday, February 15, 10:30 a.m. at Orchestra Hall. You can purchase tickets on the Minnesota Orchestra website. Adult tickets are $22-$34, student tickets are $8-$16.
Blaine is the son of Amy Asman, Cassie Kappelhoff and Billy and Kelly Danielson, and grandson of the late Howard and Nancy Asman.
All-State is a program to develop the finest musicians and leaders among Minnesota’s most accomplished high school students. The All-State program supports secondary school music ensembles, MMEA members and members’ students.
