On April 25, 2022, the National Weather Service determined that the Red Lake River at Crookston crested at 27.07 feet at 11:00 pm on April 24, 2022. As of 11:00 am today, the Red Lake River level at Crookston was 26.33 feet and is slowly receding. The Crookston Emergency Operations Center will remain open and continue to monitor river levels. The Crookston Sports Center, 801 Fisher Ave., will remain operational as an emergency evacuation center. With support from the Minnesota National Guard, levees will be continued to be monitored. Volunteers are not needed at this time.
