Crookston Pirate Boys Golf finish 15th atNLS/Willmar 2-day tourney

The Crookston Pirate Boys Golf team was consistent in the two-day Willmar and New London-Spicer 2025 Cardinal/Wildcat Invitational while shooting a 381 at Little Crow Country Club in Spicer on Thursday, and they also shot a 381 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Willmar to finish in a tie for 15th place out of 16 teams in the two day tournament. Brainerd won the tournament with a 598, which was nine strokes better than New London-Spicer.

Garrett Fischer shot a two-day total of 170. carded an 87 in the first round with a couple of holes he would like back, and finished the tournament with an 83 on Friday. In the first round, Fischer had a birdie on the 10th hole and also turned in eight pars. He also had five bogies, three double bogies, and shot a nine on the par-four 17th hole.
In the second round, Garrett shot an 83 with an eagle on hole one! He also had birdies on the 17th and 18th holes. He carded five pars, five bogies, and five double bogies.
Evan Shockman shot a two-day total of 182. On Thursday, he turned in an 87 with two birdies, five pars, five bogies, four double bogies, and a quadruple bogey.
In the second round on Friday, he shot a 95. Evan carded a birdie on the second hole and also had three pars. He also made nine bogies, three double bogies, and one triple bogey, and he turned in a 10 on a par four.
Tate Hamre shot a 200. On Thursday, he carded a 97 with four pars, seven bogies, four double bogies, two triple bogies, and one quadruple bogie.
On Friday, he turned in a 103. Tate carded three pars, six bogies, five double bogies, two triple bogies, one quadruple bogey, and a nine on a par four.
David Dauksavage shot a 210. On Thursday, he shot a 110 while carding two pars, five bogies, five double bogies, two triple bogies, three quadruple bogies, and a nine on a par four.
David shaved 10 strokes off his score with a 100 on Friday. David carded a birdie on the seventh hole, one par, seven bogies, five double bogies, and four triple bogies.
Collin Trudeau shot a 247. On Thursday, he shot a 133. He carded seven double bogies, six triple bogies, two quadruple bogies, and three holes that hit the double figures.
It is Collin’s first year of competitive golf and the Freshman shaved 19 strokes off his second round score with a 114. He had one par, three bogies, five double bogies, seven triple bogies, and he got a nine on a par four.

Crookston will play at the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebel invite on Monday, April 28 at the The Meadows in Fargo.
