CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET ON MONDAY NIGHT

The Crookston School Board will meet on Monday night at 5:00 p.m. inside the Crookston High School Choir/Orchestra room.

The Board will have a Feature Program by Instructor Travis Oliver on Career Tech Education Programs. They will discuss additional programs for the High School for students to take that can lead to potential careers in different technical fields.

The Consent Agenda will include the approval of the meeting minutes of the meeting that took place on January 24th and all of the current bills. The consent agenda also includes the approval of the Spring Coaches list, the employment of Randy Hviding as a Part-time Custodian, accepting resignation letters from Assistant Football Coach Dan Halland, and approving a Memorandum of Understanding with CEA. The consent agenda will also include the acceptance of Grants and Donations from the June Shaver Endowment for two Health Scholarships and the Drama Department.

The Main Agenda will include approving Recommissioning Study for Otter Tail, the purchase of a Suburban, a Resolution Relating to Determining the Necessity of Issuing General Obligation Bonds, and Calling a Special Election Thereon. The Main Agenda will also include the approval of policy updates recommended by the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) and to review and remove two Series Policies on School Lunch and the Use of School Cars.

The Board will then hear Administrative Reports from Washington School Principal Denice Oliver, Highland Elementary Principal Chris Trostad, and Crookston High School Principal Nicki Martinez about events and progress at their respective schools. Crookston Public Schools Superintendent Jeremy Olson will also give a report about his actions and plans for the school district.

A Negotiations Committee Meeting will be held immediately following the meeting in the District Office Conference Room at 6:00 p.m.

The next School Board meeting will take place on Monday, March 28th, at 5:00 p.m. at the High School Choir/Orchestra Room.
