CROOKSTON SCHOOL BOARD WILL MEET MONDAY

The Crookston School Board will meet Monday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. in the choir/orchestra room at Crookston High School (CHS).  Mike Theis, who was elected to the school board in the special election on November 5, will be taking his Oath of Office to open the meeting, and there will be a Pirates Fine Arts Boosters presentation by Jim Kent.

The consent agenda includes approving the minutes of the October 28 meeting and November 12 special meeting, and approving current bills.  Several personnel items are also included on the consent agenda including approving a 12-week leave of absence for Jennifer Knutson, a school readiness/Early Childhood Family Education instructor.  The board will accept the resignation letter of Alicia Jay, a paraprofessional at CHS.  And the board will approve the employments of Christine Erdman in dietary at CHS, Linda Brown in dietary at CHS, Amanda Christianson as a paraprofessional at CHS, and approve the employment agreement with Anna Ogaard-Brekke as Food Service Director for 2019-2022.  They will also approve a master agreement with educational assistants for 2019-2021.  The acceptance of three donations is also included on the agenda, a Pirates Fine Arts Boosters donation, a Crookston Youth Basketball Association donation, and a Wrestling Club donation.

The main agenda will consist of a resolution establishing a combined polling place for school district elections not held on the day of the statewide election, and a therapy dog for the school district.  The board will also hear administrative reports and a report from Superintendent Jeremy Olson.
