The Crookston School Board will meet Monday, February 24 at 5:00 p.m. in the choir/orchestra room at Crookston High School (CHS). The main agenda consists of the second reading for policy 202 and 213 revisions, a resolution directing the administration to make recommendations for reductions in programs, positions, and reasons therefor, and a five-day preschool program. There is also resolution relating to the $2,835,000 General Obligation School Building Bonds, Series 2020A; authorizing the issuance, rewarding the sale, prescribing the form, details, and proving the payment thereof. The final item on the main agenda is the administration configuration at CHS.
The consent agendas the approval of the January 27 meeting minutes, approving current bills, accepting donated funds presented by the Education Foundation, and accepting the MSHSL fall grant award of $1,444. The following personnel items are also on the agenda; accept the retirement letters of Ray Lutovsky, school counselor, and Veronica Whitehead, instructor at the Alternative Learning Center; approve a leave of absence request from Sarah Pester; accept a letter of resignation from Chelsey Lossing, paraprofessional at Highland Elementary School (HES); approving employment agreements with Laura Lyczewski, business manager, and Marilyn Wahouske, executive assistant, for 2019-2022; approving employment of JoElle Boucher as a part-time educational assistant at HES, and Anna Hviding as a paraprofessional at Washington Elementary School (WES); approving the termination of Linda Brown as a kitchen helper at CHS.
The board will receive reports from principals Eric Bubna, CHS, Chris Trostad, HES, Denice Oliver, WES, and a report from Superintendent Jeremy Olson.
