CYNTHIA ANSBACHER ANNOUNCES RUN FOR DISTRICT 1B SEAT IN MINNESOTA HOUSE AS A DEMOCRAT

Cynthia Ansbacher of Crookston announced she is running for Minnesota House District 1B endorsed by the Democratic Farmers Labor Party and AFSCME. The announcement is below –

My name is Cynthia (Cindy) Ansbacher and I am officially running to represent citizens Polk, Red Lake, and rural Pennington counties In rural Minnesota House District 1B.  I am honored to be endorsed by the Democratic Farmers Labor party and AFSCME. I am a lifelong Democrat who lives in Crookston and strongly support DFL values. For the past five years, I have been and continue to be an active board member of the Polk County DFL.

I was born and raised in Minneapolis. While attending their public schools, I had the honor of being selected for the Legislative Page Program by my high school principal. Working with State Representative Ken Nelson, I developed familiarity with the Capitol itself and, more importantly, the legislative process. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and spent many years of my career focused on critical care nursing and volunteering my skills when possible. In 2006 I moved into my mother’s childhood home in Crookston. Since then, I have been active in community affairs, including serving on the board of the Prairie Skyline Foundation and assisting with the restoration of the old Cathedral. With the advent of Covid-19, I have been making and donating face masks to friends, family, work places, and the public. I currently enjoy working as a Designated Support Person, with Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota.

Our House 1B community is going through unprecedented times. Farmers are struggling, teachers are overwhelmed and underpaid, and our public health system is under tremendous stress with too many denied access to necessary care. I am committed to working to overcome these challenges! I will work hard to win this seat! This campaign is about what kind of future we want to build together.

I’m running for office to help build a better Greater Minnesota that cares about everyone. I’m asking you to join me because when we work together, we can build the kind of grassroots power that makes real change.

Please feel free to email me at ansbacherformn@gmail.com . I look forward to hearing from you in the coming days and weeks and working with you to improve the lives of Minnesotans.

 Sincerely,

Cynthia (Cindy) Ansbacher
Candidate for House District 1B
