DAROOS IN CROOKSTON IS FOR SALE

DaRoos restaurant in Crookston is for sale.  That is according to a DaRoos Facebook post they posted today.  The Facebook post said the following –

“DaRoos pizza in Crookston is for sale. It can be sold as Daroos pizza or can be sold as a turn key restaurant of your choice! We are selling the operating business and all equipment with lease take over, the building is not for sale. Don’t worry until it sells it will be business as normal! Unfortunately, it is just too hard for us to manage it from Bagley, would be great for someone local!”

Comments from Julie Love, manager of the Crookston restaurant. “The owner, Amanda Grover, has decided to put the business up for sale,” said Love.  “She has two other Daroos in Fosston and Bagley.  She is selling to lighten her load. She’s a busy lady.  So, she’s just decided to put it for sale.  The business is for sale, not the building.  I know there could be some speculation because the signs are on the building, but it’s just the business itself.”

Love said she and her husband plan to stay on for a while.  “Larry and I, well me mostly, will be here throughout the duration of the sale,” said Love.  “And we’ll see what the new owners want to do.  Hopefully, they would still maybe need a manager and a crew and see what happens.  I have to say that we do have the option to buy out as well.  We are throwing that around.  Maybe we will, maybe we won’t, we don’t know for sure what our future holds.  And we’re not closing the door on just finding new jobs for ourselves as well.  It’s going to be hard not knowing what the future for us here is if a new owner comes in and has their own crew for a restaurant.  So, for me and our family, we decided that if something comes up we’d probably jump on another opportunity.  There is so many things that are unknown right now that we’ll just wait and see what happens.  Let the chips fall where they may, that’s usually what they say.”

Love thanked the community for their support since the Love’s became managers. “We’d also like to add that we have really appreciated the community and their kinds words to us about the Daroos and how well we’ve done here,” said Love.  “We’d really like to thank Crookston and the surrounding communities for supporting us so well since we took over as managers in April.  Everybody loves our buffet and what we’ve done.  Getting involved with the community, the chamber, and different organizations in town has been really fun.”
