DREAMS ON ICE 2019 “ADVENTURES AROUND THE WORLD” AT THE SPORTS CENTER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

The Crookston Sports Center has been busy all winter with youth and high school hockey games and tournaments but this weekend will give way to figure skating with the 2019 Dreams On Ice.  Erica Uttermark, who spent a busy Thursday night along with many volunteers with a rehearsal and setting up the main arena talks about the upcoming shows. “This year’s Dreams On Ice – Adventures Around the World – will take place Saturday and Sunday,” said Uttermark.  “Saturday is at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday is at 2:00 p.m. featuring skaters from age 2-18.”

The show will feature a variety of skill levels and styles said Uttermark.  “In the first half we have 17 numbers and in the second half 15 or thereabout,” said Uttermark.  “They range from basic skill levels to Moms-Pops-&-Tots to freestyle and ice dancing so there is a wide variety of areas.  Some of the girls are just part of the club and some of them also compete individually outside of the club in surrounding communities at competitions. Our Synchro team, Glistening Edge, competed in East Grand Forks, Moorhead, and Grand Forks.  They’ve also done two performances at the Fargo Force games.”

Overall about 100 skaters are involved in the Crookston Figure Skating and Uttermark encourages the community to come out and enjoy the show.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, pre-schoolers are free. Family wristbands are available for $25 and cover both shows.
