DRIVER AND PASSENGER OF PICKUP UNINJURED AFTER COLLISION WITH TRAIN EAST OF FOSSTON

On Tuesday, December 10 at 9:13 a.m. Polk County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a report of a car versus train collision at US Highway 2 SE and 360th AVE SE east of Fosston.  A Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) train engineered by Steven Burris age 50 of Topeka, Kansas was traveling westbound on the train tracks when it collided with a 2013 Ford Pickup truck driven by 52-year-old Todd Jevning of Fosston.  Jevning had a 17-year-old male in the front passenger seat.  None of the occupants sustained any personal injuries.  Only minor property damage was sustained by both the BNSF train and the Ford pickup truck. 

Also responding to the scene were Essentia Ambulance and the Fosston Fire Department.
