EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION’S ANNUAL BUILD A WOOD PROJECT WAS A TAKE AND MAKE STOOL

Crookston Public Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) held its annual Build A Wood Project.  Families were able to pick up the stool pieces and complete it at home instead of gathering at Washington School due to COVID-19.

They handed out 30 projects and would like to thank the Advanced Woods Class taught by Mr. Travis Oliver at Crookston High School for cutting the wood and routing the ECFE Logo into the leg.   Woodworking with children is exceptional for developing their creative and critical thinking skills as they experiment with wood and tools. As they construct, children are becoming artists, designers, architects, builders, and sculptors.
