The Fertile-Beltrami Falcon Boys Golf team had another tremendous performance as they cruised to the Section 8A Boys Championship for the third straight year. Fertile-Beltrami shot a 658, 37 strokes better than Badger/Greenbush-Middle River.
The Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gator Girls Golf team won the Section 8A Girls Championship by shooting a two-day total of 790, 22 strokes better than Mahnomen/Waubun.
The State Class A Golf Tournament will be held at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker June 11-12.
BOYS – The medalist was Masen Nowacki of Fertile-Beltrami with a two-day total of 153, seven strokes better than Blake McMullen of Mahnomen/Waubun.
Nowacki had one birdie, 11 pars, five bogies, and one double bogey.
GIRLS – The medalist was Cady Clark of Mahnomen/Waubun with a 188, six strokes better than the runner-up. Clark had two pars, eight bogies, seven double bogies, and one triple bogey.
