On Saturday, July 25, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers of the Grand Forks Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at 4240 5th Ave. N. A vehicle drove into an apartment building.
The 2005 Kia van was operated by a juvenile male. The juvenile, who lives in the area, took his parent’s vehicle and drove at a high rate of speed. The juvenile lost control of the vehicle which caused the van to hit a curb and continue into the apartment building. At the time, the apartment renters were not at home.
The juvenile was arrested for DUI, Unqualified Operator and Reckless Driving.
Grand Forks Police were assisted by the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru paramedics.
