The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the Women’s Hockey postseason awards and two Crookston High School graduates, Kambelle Freije and Addie Fee earned WIAC honors, as voted on by the coaches.
Kambelle Freije, a freshman goaltender for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, was named All-Conference, and Addie Fee, a freshman forward for the University of Wisconsin-Superior, was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Freije had an outstanding first year playing in 22 games (1,316 minutes) while making 473 saves for a 1.50 goals against average, which was second in the conference. She led the conference in saves per game with 21.5 per game. She was second in save percentage with a .935 save percentage and had a conference high nine shutouts in 22 games. Eau Claire was 10-2 in the WIAC and 20-8 overall. They were the only team to beat UW-River Falls this season.
Fee scored two goals and recorded 10 assists for 12 points. She had one power play goal and did not commit a penalty the entire season. She also added 13 blocks
