Lake Agassiz Regional Library announces Minnesota Libraries Read Together programming

As Minnesotans gather at libraries across the state during the weekend of September 18–20, Lake Agassiz Regional Library will host local activities and community celebrations throughout the region.

Minnesota Libraries Read Together is a statewide initiative inviting residents to unite in support of public libraries and highlight the vital role they play in building connected, thriving communities. Participating libraries across Minnesota will host local events – indoors, on library grounds, or in nearby public spaces – creating a collective statewide show of appreciation.

Each Lake Agassiz Regional Library location will welcome supporters during operating hours the weekend of September 18-20, with larger celebrations planned at the following locations:

  • Ada Public Library, Friday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. 
    Silent Reading Party, refreshments, and craft activity
  • Crookston Public Library, Friday, September 18, at 1:00 p.m.
    Special Storytime featuring local celebrity guest readers, activities, and refreshments
  • Detroit Lakes Public Library, Friday, September 18, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
    Reading party, refreshments, and craft activities
  • Moorhead Public Library, Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
    Remarks by community leaders, live music, mini Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the Moorhead Library 
  • Barnesville Public Library, Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
    Book Sale, craft activity, photo booth, and Silent Reading Party from noon to 1 p.m.
