The Lakes Region Builders Association (LRBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger D. Moe as its new Executive Officer. Bringing decades of distinguished public service, leadership, and deep roots in Northwestern Minnesota, Moe will lead the organization in its mission to support and advance the building industry across the region.

Founded in 1984, the LRBA represents home builders, tradespeople, and industry professionals across Becker, Otter Tail, Wilkin, Norman, and Mahnomen counties. The association promotes professionalism and education in the building sector while supporting the local community through annual student scholarships, its popular regional Home Show, and advocacy on local and state building policies.
Joining newly elected President Allen Clark on the 2026 LRBA leadership team are the following officers and board members:
- Vice President: Nick Green
- Treasurer/Secretary: Marty Waller
- Past President: Bryan Schoenberger
- Board of Directors: Jayson Storo, Jim Spalla, Mike Lempke, and Scott Wenner
Moe served in the Minnesota Senate from 1970 to 2003, holding the record as the longest-serving Senate Majority Leader in state history (22 years). His legislative legacy includes the creation of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (M-State) and the Environmental Trust Fund. A former high school mathematics teacher and coach at Ada High School, Moe holds a Bachelor of Science from Mayville State University, completed graduate studies in Education Administration at Moorhead State and North Dakota State University, and received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from the University of Minnesota in 2004.

“I am excited to team up with the Lakes Region Builders Association to champion an industry that serves as an economic foundation for Western Minnesota,” said Moe. “Housing, skilled trades, and community development are essential to our region’s vitality, and I look forward to working alongside LRBA leadership and members to advance those priorities.”
